Hugh Jackman Knocked Out Of Guiness World Record Book By Deadpool And Wolverine Co-star

Deadpool and Wolverine is making serious money at the box office and Marvel has been going hard on promotion, which makes sense it’s its only feature released this year. The movie features Hugh Jackman’s 10th time playing Wolverine, and possibly the last–for real this time. However, Jackman no longer has the Guiness World Record for the longest career as a Marvel character.

It's Mario Time When Universal's Epic Universe Opens In May 2025

After a few days of rumors, Universal Studios announced on Thursday that its highly anticipated fourth theme park, Universal Epic Universe, will officially open on May 22, 2025. The massive interlocked resort will have five worlds, each with its unique theme, tied to a particular franchise under the Universal umbrella–Celestial Park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk, and Dark Universe.

The opening of Epic Universe will transform Universal Orlando Resort into a possible weeklong vacation destination comprised of not just the parks, but 11 hotels that are aiming to be destinations themselves. Among them is the Helios Hotel, which is furnished with 500 rooms.

Embracer Group, the video game giant based in Sweden, has reported robust quarterly results, showing a 50% increase in sales during a period marked by layoffs and division closures. These figures, reported by Deadline, come after Embracer’s announcement of a restructure and the acquisition of Lord of the Rings’ intellectual property owner, Middle-earth Enterprises, for nearly $400 million.

According to Embracer, its Entertainment & Services segment experienced a 70% organic growth for the quarter ending on July 1. Middle-earth Enterprises contributed significantly to this achievement through strong licensing revenue for The Lord of the Rings.
